Open Minds Quarterly: Winter 2012

Volume XIII, Issue IV

The Winter 2012 issue included a story from a man with social anxiety who ceased from drowning himself in negative self-talk when he finally understands his illness, found support from an internet group, and consciously made the effort to be proactive in improving his mental health by opening himself up to new experiences;  a fictional tale on one man’s suffering with depression; a review on a book written by mental health consumer, Len Boller entitled “Mental Recovery by Recognition and Rationalization”; and a poem on conquering the deep darkness in one’s life, falling along the way, but holding onto hope and “becoming free”.
