Open Minds Quarterly: Winter 2008

Volume IX, Issue IV

The Winter 2008 issue covered a story on how recovery doesn’t come to a person overnight, rather, it arrives in many forms; a personal essay by a long-term survivor of schizophrenia who questions how one can come to terms with facing a lifetime of mental illness; a fictional story about one man’s stay in a psychiatric hospital during which he met true royalty; and a poem that recognizes the constant shifting nature of our world, from the tides, to the seasons, to the very atoms that make up everything, and questions why it is that we still think that we are standing still.
