Open Minds Quarterly: Summer 2007

Volume IX, Issue II

The Summer 2007 issue covered a story about Jean who learned a valuable lesson after hearing about how another woman survived a tragic family suicide; a bare-all personal account by a now successful mental health advocate who once ended a road trip with an escort to the state hospital; an essay on a writer’s gripping certainty that his late father is reaching out to him; a book review on “Could it Be B12? An Epidemic of Misdiagnoses” which addresses whether depression can be caused by an undiagnosed vitamin deficiency; and a poem that questions what is remaining after two individuals in a relationship have been seemingly stripped of everything after lying to one another, hurting one another, and experiencing so much loss together.
