Open Minds Quarterly: Summer 2005

$7.00

Volume VII, Issue II

The Summer 2005 issue featured a story on how constant support can mean the world to your mentally ill spouse; an account of a young woman’s travels on the bumpy road of her illness, with depression and borderline personality disorder in the passenger seat; a fictional tale exploring the surreal moments before a suicide attempt; a book review on “Demystifying Bipolar Disorder” by Lana R. Castle, a woman who has over fifty turbulent years of living with bipolar disorder; and a poem about how substance abuse and mental illness snatched away a person’s ability to be a part of the ‘normal’ hype and nonsense of life. The winners of the 3rd Annual BrainStorm Poetry Contest were featured inside.
