Open Minds Quarterly: Summer 2004

Volume VI, Issue II

The Summer 2004 issue featured a story about how coming to accept that you have a mental illness can be the hardest thing to do; a personal account on how Linda’s illness lead her to a place she never knew before; an essay on how while the ‘enemy’ may be strong and smart, we do have the weapons necessary to fight it and conquer it; and a poem on how the deepest pains can come from bottling your emotions up inside and how through talking about one’s illness, you  have the possibility of freeing yourself and staggering among the living. The Honourable Mentions of the 2nd Annual Brain Storm Poetry Contest were included inside.
