Open Minds Quarterly: Spring 2004

Volume VI, Issue I

The Spring 2004 issue included a candid explanation of one man’s hallucinations and how he has learned to cope with them; a story about how a young woman made a positive change in her life, only to find herself challenged by the onset of a mental illness; a personal essay on how everyone plays a part in reducing stigma and how they can do so; a book review on Dr. David Healy’s book “Let Them Eat Prozac”; and a poem that expresses concern at the many rules in our world and how we continue to be indifferent to the needs of our fellow humans and species on this earth. Featured inside were also the winning poems of the 2nd Annual Brain Storm Poetry Contest.
